Previously held in Cardiff, Anglesey now to host huge German festival: Oktoberfest Cymru 2022!
Before German Unity Day, a celebration is held annually in Munich, Germany, during a roughly two-week period. The Oktoberfest has been a significant element of Bavarian culture since 1810 and is thought to be the world’s largest Volksfest, an occasion that often combines a beer or wine festival with a traveling funfair.
This is due to Anglesey hosting its own Oktoberfest for just one evening. The event will make its maiden appearance in North Wales on October 8, 2022, at the Anglesey Showground. Lederhosen, oompah bands, and of course a ton of beer are some of the things that many people will connect with the Oktoberfest. And this year, you won’t have to leave the UK or go to any other significant cities to have fun.
