Below is a choice of activities you can consider occupying your time while in Snowdonia to achieve the ultimate experience and enjoyment when in the area:

GreenWood Forest Park, close to Caernarfon

The GreenWood Forest Park was voted the Best Family Attraction in North Wales in the Trip Advisor Awards and is among the ten best amusement parks in the United Kingdom and rated the best value.

The GreenWood Forest Park is one very green attraction that has won many other awards for its eco-friendly awareness. It is a fantastic destination for a family that spend time to together and revel in the splendour of nature. It offers an impressive range of rides and experiences: for example, a Barefoot Trail, Tree-Top Towers, Crocodile Maze, Forest Theatre, and the Green Dragon, which is the world’s first-ever eco-friendly rollercoaster – it is people-powered.

National White-Water Centre (It is near Bala)

This is the United Kingdom’s first-ever commercial water rafting centre and has grown to become the largest and one of the most well-known rafting organisations in the UK. The dam-controlled River Tryweryn benefits from regular high flows throughout the year and is therefore ideal for white water rafting, whatever time of year it is.

The area attracts plenty of thrill-seekers looking to ride the boulder-strewn rapids and steep chutes of the Tryweryn. There are many activities you can choose from when you are here. You can go on a rafting safari, which is also called a taster session. Or you can try kayaking. You can also go on a canyoning trip and get yourself and get a good soaking while enjoying the outdoors. The place also offers weekend activity breaks that consist of quad biking, 4 by 4 off-road driving, and high rope adventures.

Llanberis Lake Railway

You can take a journey in one of Llanberis Lake Railway’s vintage little steam engines and go back in time. The railway runs alongside Llyn Padarn in the Padarn Country Park for five miles. You can stop off for a picnic by the lakeside at Cei Llydan, alternatively, you can visit the National Slate Museum located at Gilfach Ddu.

As a bonus, you will enjoy spectacular views of Snowdon on the way.  For example, you will see the highest peak in England and Wales attempting to break through the clouds.
