Rhosneigr is certainly ‘my happy place’ in North Wales. Driving on the A4080, heading north past Aberffraw passing a beautiful beach, Porth Prescastel and then closer to Rhosneigr itself and the brilliant Oyster Catcher pub you reach the town itself.

There is a very special vibe about this town, all year around and especially in the summer months, when the water sports scene is in full flow.

With its two broad and sandy beaches, Traeth Crigyll & Traeth Llydan it is a popular centre for water sports enthusiasts.

If you fancy having a go at surfing, then this is the town, a world-famous surfing stop, lots of other water sport options also available. Gecko surf is a great place to learn, with a friendly professional team especially if you’re completely new to surfing.

The Anglesey Golf Club is just down the road outside of town, a rugged links, which is a pleasant round in benign weather, but turns into a beast when the wind picks up!

Shops & Amenities

Rhosneigr has the essentials. There is a local convenience stall, a Fat Face boutique shop and a hairdresser along with a few cafes on the high street.

Restaurants & Bars

Sandy Mount House must be experienced. Elegant and proud stands this marvellous structure. Very dog friendly to which is great for those of you that have 4 legged members of your family.  There is a good menu with locally sourced food. A great bar scene to with great cocktails and a good selection of beers & wines. Certainly, worth a visit if your visiting Rhosneigr.

The Oyster Catcher just down the road is also highly recommended, especially during the warmer weather, the outside area upstairs takes on a lovely atmosphere. There are beach huts upstairs to which are fun, a firm favourite with the locals and visitors, the staff here really add to the occasion Also very dog friendly.

If you want a more authentic experience, then you must head to Scarlets Fish Bar, this is one of THE chip shops in Anglesey, best enjoyed with a cool beverage on the beach whilst the sun sets!

Property feature – Felin Traeth

New to Coastal Holidays, is the elegant Felin Traeth. This will undoubtedly go down as one of THE addresses in Rhosneigr, a beautifully appointed family home which is really well located, just a 10 minute walk sees you onto the beaches and into the towns centre. Rhosneigr railway station is just a minutes’ walk away, so if you’d like to leave your car at home, this is an option!

There is also a hot tub at the property that can be enjoyed at a small surcharge.

Plenty of room for parking, pet friendly and beautifully appointed, this property will be a property I’m sure that you will want to return to for years to come.
