Ropeworks

Cycling

Discover the glorious Lleyn Peninsula countryside by cycling along some of the most scenic and exciting routes in Wales. Visit a local Tourist Information Centre to pick up a copy of the new guide on the four easy to follow cycle routes on the Lleyn complete with guide and maps.

Lon Eifion Cycle Way

This scenic 12.5m/20km cycle path has been upgraded with an excellent hard surface all the way. The northern end starts 400 metres south of the large car park near Caernarfon castle. Excellent views of Snowdonia abound along the route. The southern end is at Bryncir, near Criccieth, where there is also a small car park. Lon Eifion is part of Lon Las Cymru, route number 8 on the National Cycle Network.

Lon Las Cymru Cycle Way

Lon Las Cymru continues from Caernarfon north to Bangor on the Lôn Las Menai. After crossing the Menai Strait on the Menai Suspension Bridge onto Anglesey the route follows quiet roads (which are signposted NCN 8) across the island to Holyhead.

Horse Riding

Enjoying the magnificent scenery on horseback is one of the best ways to experience the natural beauty of the Llyn Peninsula. There are excellent opportunities for riding, hacking and trekking.
