I have been to Anglesey and specifically Cemaes Bay for 60 years so have known of The Moorings for a long time. Staying in one of the Bay's premier spots did not disappoint and we had a lovely week. We stayed in the ground floor appartment which actually slept 9 people over 3 bedrooms but we only needed the one. The property is obviously a converted villa and as such some of the layout takes a bit of getting used to but it proved spacious, comfortable and warm. The weather was kind and we were out and about walking the beaches and coastal path much of the time but the sunroom was our preferred spot for eating and relaxing as the view over the bay was exceptional. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean and well equipped, oven, washer, drier etc all newish, cupboards well stocked, beds comfortable, towels a plenty, boardgames for rainy days, outside areas a bonus, parking for 2 cars etc etc The hosts were friendly & helpful in all matters Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be back

Everything you need in village,nice coffee shops and eateries,5 min walk to beach,bungalow well kept,but don't think suitable for 6 adults,small double bed needs a topper as mattress is uncomfortable ,apart from that lovely holiday home

The farmhouse is roomy the pictures don’t do it justice , very homely , comfortable, clean , well equipped , beds where comfortable, lovely and peaceful everyone slept so well . All the family really enjoyed there stay everything was positive about this Farmhouse planning on coming back for next year.

I warmly recommend this property. It is in a great location. This is our fifth year here and we plan to return next year. .It's a perfect place to stay if you are interested in the fantastic geology of the island

We stayed for 2 weeks in late August/early September and had a really nice time. The house was roomy, comfortable and well-equipped. There were only 2 of us and a dog so we only used the main front bedroom - the bed was large and comfortable with plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, and the en-suite was handy at night, although we used the main bathroom when washing. The other 2 bedrooms looked nice though. The bathroom is pretty big, however the toilet seat needs fixing as it wasn’t attached properly to the toilet and so wobbles around. The kitchen is a decent size and has everything you would need. The main front room has a nice comfy L-shaped settee and a good sized telly. There is a sound bar, but it didn’t work. There’s a little sun room containing the washing machine (which didn’t work, but soon got replaced with a new one) and various dog cushions, blankets and board games. There’s a small lawn which is very handy if you have a dog and it’s easy to park outside, enough room for a couple of cars. Aberffraw itself is small but has a nice cafe, pub and shop. We ate a few times at the cafe and can recommend it (not open Monday and Tuesday though) and ate once at the pub (only serves food Thursday-Sunday with a pretty limited menu). The beach is gorgeous and is a 15 minute walk away, following the river from the village. There are lovely picturesque dunes backing onto the beach too, which provide a nice circular walk back. We walked from Aberffraw to Rhosneigr along the coastal path and got the bus back - about 5 miles with some lovely views. We also had several nice days out to Beaumaris, Benllech, Penmon, Amlwych, Breakwater Country Park (Holyhead), Newborough. We would recommend Aberffraw and this house and would love to return one day. Llangefni is a 20 minute drive away and has a number of supermarkets so is your best bet to stock up. ***Toilet seat has been fixed***

Due to illness my husband and I were unable to attend but my parents took our children in our place, with their dog Jessie. They found the cottage clean and homely with everything they needed for a lovely stay. The children enjoyed the area and Pam was on hand to offer advice and recommendations. This is a great place to stay located on the headland with great views out to sea and over towards Lifeboat Bay and Llanbadrig. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the village. Plenty of room and also with an annexe. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub! Already booked it for next year. Thank you very much!

Having been to Anglesey many times before it was refreshing to be able to revisit favourite sites and discover new things from a different starting point. New go tos include: the local distillery, Llynnon mill and the wild flowers cafe.

This is a very nice detached cottage at the end of Beach Road. For two people, it’s very comfortable but for a family of four particularly if the weather isn’t very good, it may be a bit small. It was perfect for me. Thank you very much.

The house was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfy. The tv was a bit of a pain to sort out. The area is very special but not much to do in the village.

What a fabulous house and location to spend time with your family. David was super responsive and helpful, the house was amazing with the most amazing views of the sea which is 100 yards away and barely used. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. The sofa swallows people whole and completely relaxes you. No fighting for bathrooms as there is one in each room. Can't fault it. Can't wait to go back. Bravo

We had a lovely few days in David’s amazing place - the house is so close to the sea with 180 degree panoramic views over the sea - the house itself was plenty big enough for a family of 7 with room to spare. This is our second year staying here and we have already booked for next year too. The house is very comfy and in a great location, with everything you need to make it a home from home stay. It’s just a short walk to the beautiful beach, the locals are very friendly and welcoming, we spent a few enjoyable evenings in The Crown pub just a few minutes walk away from the house. It’s easy to get around the island and there are no shortages of lovely beaches and interesting landmarks. They cater for dogs too with an enclosed garden which our little dog loved. Would definitely recommend this place.

The bungalow is light & spacious & was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well equipped. The sofas could do with an upgrade as they are worn & with a couple of stains, also 2 door knobs missing from one wardrobe. The location is brilliant ,at the end of a cul de sac with great views & only minutes away from the amenities of Rhosneigr. We plan to return

A great property in a really good location. If you have a dog the garden is secure and there is plenty of dog walking locally without getting in your car. The property is in a good location for visiting the local beaches and forest walks and has all you would need for a comfortable stay. We will return.

Simdde Wen was a lovely property, very near to the town of Beaumaris, less than a 10 minute stroll away. The home had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Our contact was very responsive when we had questions. Some very nice restaurants in Beaumaris depending upon your budget. The roast dinner at George and Dragon was enormous and very good value for £17.50. The Liverpool Arms had an extensive menu with a specials board and the Midland Tapas was excellent but on the more expensive end of the scale. A beautiful island in general and easy access to mainland Wales if you wanted to explore further. Everyone we met whilst out and about were really friendly, local or visitors. Airbnb June 2026

We had an amazing stay in Angorfa - the house was plenty big enough for 7 with done of the comfiest beds we’ve stayed on - loads of kitchen amenities but the winner was the views - sea on one side and rolling hills the other. The house is a great place to explore the peninsula. Would definitely recommend

This was my third visit. The cottage is ideally positioned for visiting Malltraeth Cob and Marsh area, also for the Newborough Forest area. The village is very quiet with only one small shop and a pub so not for everyone. The nearest supermarkets and restaurants are about a 15 minute drive away. The cottage is clean and comfortable with a very nice enclosed garden. The staircase up to the first floor bedroom is a little hazardous if you have mobility issues but there is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom.

I booked Gwlgri for two weeks to celebrate my 80th birthday with my family and to complete walking the Anglesey coast path. The farmhouse is a lovely venue for a large family stay and is ideally situated to take advantage of the island location. The farmhouse is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We all felt safe and relaxed there. Thank you.

The house was large enough to accommodate all of us without feeling squashed. Everyone had plenty of space to be apart and plenty of communal area to all be together. The house is perfectly situated in the centre of town, so the cars were mainly parked up and unused for the weekend. The house was lovely and clean and extremely well fitted out with appliances etc. A definite must stay location for a big family visiting Beaumaris

We had a lovely stay at Plas Diwedd. The cottage was clean, bright and very comfortable with everything you need for it to feel like a home from home. The views are fabulous and the weather was warm enough for us to make good use of the decking area outside the kitchen. With lovely walks and a beach just a short walk away we had one of the best holidays we've ever had in Anglesey. From booking right through to the end of our holiday communication with Michael and Coastal Holidays was excellent. Five stars doesn't do it justice.

Stayed for a week over New Year 25/26, had the most amazing time, walking, spectacular views and in the local Stag Inn all so friendly.

We just love the apartment, all you could want and so cosy.
The balcony is a real added bonus.

We have absolutely loved our stay and will return in June.

Fabulous three nights stay in the best location in Cemaes, very comfortable,spacious house with garden! and patio! right on the bay!! Very well equipped kitchen and dining, relaxing lounge and wrap around sun lounges with fantastic views. Nigel, the owner was easily contactable and had lots of advice and helpful tips. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

We all loved this house (8 adults, 1 child, 1 dog!) . It has so much character. Plenty of room for all of us. Some delightful quirks, like the meat hooks in the living room, the view through the window to the ancient walls, and the sloping floors! If you want IKEA furniture and straight lines, this is not the house for you; if you want old world charm and a wonderful place to explore, book it, you won’t be disappointed. Perfect location in the centre of Beaumaris.

Stayed for half term with wife, two Teens and a dog. Welcomed as we arrived and left milk and Welsh Cakes to enjoy. Such a lovely place and well equipped converted barn. Lovely having the wood burner which warmed us up well, all the amenities you need in a home away from home. Maybe a more comfortable mattress that’s less springy, but otherwise a perfect stay, and we WILL be returning!
