Squirrel Cottage/ Bwthyn Wiwar

It is a spacious cottage was clean on arrival and in an ideal location within walking distance to shop pubs a hotel cafes and most importantly a great beach for dogs to run .We did have a problem with the decking area but the owner sorted it the same day .My only wish was for a TV in the downstairs kitchen as I have a mobility problem and couldn’t get up to comfortable lounge upstairs to watch tv .However there are bedrooms downstairs which was a bonus for me .Plenty of free parking across the road with disabled spaces too .The games room was good for pool competitions. Overall we had a brilliant holiday here and everyone in our party loved it. The property looks small outside but it’s like the tardis inside, plenty of space for all 8 of us, and the games room was great for keeping the teenagers occupied in the evening and damp days. It’s well equipped and the welcome pack was excellent and a lovely touch, as was the little mini toiletries. It’s a lovely cottage well situated with everything you need on the doorstep, and the beach and harbour are attractive and well kept. Would highly recommend for a family holiday. July 2023

Beautiful cottage like a tarsi’s plenty of room could not fault it. Garden great. Immaculate everything we needed and more games room a hit with everyone. Lovely area been many times. We had a wonderful week at Squirrel Cottage. The cottage was much bigger than I’d imagined and was spotlessly clean and was very well equipped. Everything was lovely. The  big surprise for the kids was the games room with the pool and table tennis table, boxed games, TV and books. The cottage was right in the village with loads of things to do like playing on the basket ball courts in the park, going to the sandy beach and crabbing off the harbour wall but we often went out to visit different places in Anglesey like Beaumaris where we went on an exciting boat trip to Puffin Island. Our holiday at Squirrel Cottage in Cemaes Bay was wonderful. Four of us travel and meet up regularly and it's been difficult in the past to find clean and comfy group accommodation. Squirrel cottage was excellent because it's so much more than that. It's like a home-from-home and that's been impossible to find for large groups. Mar 2023

We stayed for 3 nights. Cemaes was easy to find and there was plenty of parking across the road for our cars. The cottage has been recently renovated and really nicely presented. The beds were cosy (we had a whole bedroom each!) and the garden was lovely. So many birds, and yes... RED squirrels! The kitchen was very clean and very well equipped. We cooked there during the day and ate out at night. Plenty of places to eat in the pretty village of Cemaes and surrounding areas. We liked The Stag pub. It’s in the village, footsteps from the house overlooking the pretty bay. It’s Wales most northerly pub! It was a very friendly pub with lovely food (and events) but you can get all sorts of other treats like ice cream from the kiosk on the beach, fish and chips, pies from the butcher and lovely coffee and cakes all from the village. We loved the local coastal walks and we enjoyed collecting sea glass on the beach. It’s the most beautiful stretch of coastline we have seen. It’s breathtaking and the exceptional high standard of Squirrel cottage means we will definitely be booking here again. Mar 2023
