  • Great cottage on owners property, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, lovely afternoon sun trap behind cottage overlooking (quiet) sheep-filled field and with owners gorgeous cats for company. Have paid much more for much less on previous holidays.

    April 2018

  • Stayed here 5 days. The location was stunning. Beautiful views. The barn was spotless. If you are looking for a quite relaxing place to stay its ideal. The secluded patio area, faces south west and its a real sun trap where you can enjoy the views. The barn conversion is self-catering. It has all you need. Mrs. E.Crocombe greeted us when we arrived. And we enjoyed her home baked Welsh Cake. Definitely recommend this lovely place!

    Sept 2017

  • Excellent location to explore nearby places. Owners very welcoming. There was a welcome pack with some lovely welsh cakes to spoil you. Loved the power showers in the very clean bathrooms. The cottage is very clean and cosy. Would definitely recommend it and return

    Apr 2017

  • Ysgubor is in a great location on the edge of Snowdonia, and extremely well placed for reaching not only attractions in North Wales (of which there are plenty, for all tastes), but also on Anglesey too. We stayed as a family of four so having three bedrooms was perfect for us. The hosts were very helpful (and left us a delicious bara brith too).

Don’t be put off by the slightly dated look in the property photos as this is a very well appointed cottage. This property has both a decent sized fridge and a separate freezer which we found useful. Note there is no bath although there are two good sized shower rooms.

Internet access would have been a nice bonus, and and mobile signal is not guaranteed given the location (some networks seemed better than others)

    Aug 2017

    Property now has internet

  • We absolutely LOVED this 3 bedroom converted barn. It has been recently remodeled and everything is clean, new, and in great working order. The 2 single bed rooms are quite small, but we didn’t mind a bit. To have a bit of privacy while travelling is a luxury and these rooms not only give privacy but a very comfortable bed as well. The master room holds a double rather than a king, but has a wonderful private bathroom. The kitchen, dining, and living room are spacious and comfortable. Also, the location was ideal. The cottage was very quiet and felt tucked away in the farm lands, but was actually quite close to the major highways in the area. It was very well located to explore many different areas of Northern Wales
