Property description

Ground floor

Kitchen
Well equipped recently refurbished kitchen with microwave, induction cooker with electric oven, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer, pots, pans, tea, coffee. etc. Superb view of the sea from the kitchen. Breakfast bar  with 2 bar stools facing the kitchen.

Dining room/Small lounge area.
Open plan space from the kitchen leads to an open plan relaxed sitting area, with a three seater leather sofa, and rattan easy chair, with yet another window with a spectacular view. There is an electric flame effect fire, which is very cosy even with just the flames on for effect. Next to this, and also in the open plan area is the dining table with seating for six. The dining table looks out through patio doors to the sea, and Cemaes Bay beach, so a great view while you eat. The patio doors are very handy for reaching the garden and barbeque spot, or to just open and enjoy the sea air while you eat.

Through the old serving hatch by the table, you get views towards Wylfa head, and a glimpse of the new sea room, which replaced the old conservatory in early 2019. This is now an  L- shaped lounge-dining area with a TV/ games area, including a flat screen 48 inch TV with Freeview, surround sound and DVD player. The surround sound also plays iPods, so do bring your music. There is also a coffee table, and a selection of games including Monopoly, Blokus, Chess and playing cards and many more for rainy days – after you have come back from all the rainy-day activities outside of course. Round the corner from this there is a leather corner sofa with amazing views, standing in the new sea room you have over 180 degrees of sea view, watch the video to see what we mean! This room catches the evening sun. A lovely place for a sundowner. From here you can watch for dolphins feeding off the point, the sun dropping into the sea, or the ships cruising across the horizon.

Entrance Hall
Under floor heating to help dry everything out, great for a wet dog! A fitted cupboard for storage, and the washing machine and tumble dryer are located here. Plenty of space for coats, boots and wetsuits.

Bedroom 3 (Downstairs)
Ground floor bedroom that sleeps three in a triple bunk – a single over lower double bed. There is a bedside cabinet and a set of chest of drawers that provide plenty of clothing storage.

Shower room (Downstairs)
A stylish design curved walk-in shower, heated towel rail, vanity unit and basin complement this smart bathroom.

First floor

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs)
This double bedroom has the very best sea views with two windows both overlooking the sea, the double bed is orientated so you can see out of both, and enjoy amazing views while you sip your first cup of tea or coffee in the morning.

A large bedroom, with plenty of space for a cot. Contains two single beds. There is plenty of storage space, with a wardrobe, and set of drawers, as well as the usual stunning sea view.

The garden area benefits from magnificent sea views, a bench, and a wooden picnic table for outdoor eating. It is a perfect summers evening setting. There is ample parking for two vehicles at the front of the property.

Entertainment

  • What an amazing holiday, Spindrift is stunning, the views are out of this world! The house is so comfortable, organized, stocked with everything you could need and just so so lovely. I only left this morning and I want to go back! The welcome gift is a lovely touch too!

Feb 2022 Guest Review from Airbnb Logo

  • We had a great week in this lovely cottage. Magnificent views from every window. Never had such a view from a shower before. Managed to view dolphins from bed one morning. The kitchen was brilliant, not short of anything. Good quality of equipment plenty mugs plates snd glasses best we have ever found. Seating was very comfortable and had lots of choices where to sit. Really appreciated the chair in the entrance hall to sit on to put on my walking boots. Local people were also very friendly and helpful. Our elderly dog surprised us by escaping from the garden. Thanks to walkers on the coastal path he was soon found on the beach. After which we used a hook in the garden to attach his tether. Thank you for the wine and delicious cake. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to return next year.

    Sept 2021

  • Spindrift has it all. Amazing views of the coastline. Short walk into the village center, which has 3 pubs/restaurants, fish and chips, village shop and numerous antique and gift shops. The walk to the harbor is easy to do and the walk up to the church, slightly more challenging for those not liking uphill walks, but the road to it is good. The coastal walkway passes right outside, so it’s easy to join. Spindrift is comfortable and larger than it looks on the inside. Rhian couldn’t have been more helpful. We are definitely returning soon
