Comfortably nestled on a country lane overlooking the Malltraeth Marsh, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, it is unique for its birdwatching, estuary and migrating birds. Within easy reach is the 2000-acre Newborough Forest and its glorious sandy beach, which borders Llanddwyn Island, home of Dydd Santes Dwynwen, the patron saint of Welsh lovers! The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path is easily accessible and there are many visitor attractions close by including the impressive National Trust property Plas Newydd, the Anglesey Sea Zoo and Foel Farm Park. A myriad of outdoor pursuits and dramatic mountain scenery are a short drive away on the mainland in the Snowdonia National Park.

Fully equipped hand made kitchen with view over the garden. Includes electric cooker with induction hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, radio and all you would expect to find! French doors lead out from dining area to patio and there is also a back door with coat hooks .

An inviting room with 2 two seater sofas to relax on after a busy day exploring. Freeview TV. Cosy woodburner with a few logs for your first night. Distant views through the beautiful front garden grasses across to the mountains.
Master Bedroom
Stairs lead up to Master bedroom & ensuite with stunning views across the marshland to the distant Snowdonia mountain range – it will be difficult to pull yourself away! King size bed with bedside tables and lamps, small desk suitable for laptop use, chest of drawers, chair and cupboard with hanging space. Ensuite shower room with basin, loo and heated towel rail.
Downstairs Bedroom
Situated off the dining area this light bedroom can be either a twin or super king-size depending on preference, complete with bedside tables and lamps, hanging hooks for clothes with chair and chest of drawers. Views across to distant mountains and additional window looking over the quiet lane.
Downstairs Bathroom
Complete with bath and overhead shower, loo basin , heated towel rail and storage, situated off the front hall.

Everything was perfect. The property was very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The garden was great for the dogs, the views were fantastic and lots of information in the book.

Lovely little cottage well positioned to enjoy this part of the island. We had a very wet and windy week nevertheless our dogs had a great time so did we in this well equipped clean and cozy cottage. Would like to have enjoyed the super garden maybe next time. Thank you.

Lovely cottage throughout. We are big bird watchers and nature people, so this cottage ticked a lot of boxes for us, waders on the estuary and the red squirrels in the Forrest just down the road, the cottage was clean and the cutlery draws were so tidy it has to be mentioned, the garden was a really nice retreat for a couple of nights we had the weather for it, cost wise I did find this really good value for money and will try and book this cottage in future years.

This was our second visit to Llys Awel and it was just as enjoyable as the previous year. The cottage is spacious, with a comfortable sitting room and a large very well-equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and practical, and the showers work well. The garden is lovely and the outdoor seating attractive and comfortable. Our dog especially enjoyed the garden. The situation of the cottage is ideal if you like walking and wildlife, which are on your doorstep.

This is a wonderful cosy well equipped cottage in a beautiful spot. The views across to Snowdon are spectacular! The cottage was extremely comfortable and the garden was an extra bonus.

This is the third Airbnb I’ve stayed at in Wales and so far it is my favourite! Really cosy, well equipped, the kitchen has all the utensils and appliances you need. The communication was great and as we stayed here for a few weeks, we also got a change over of sheets and towels half way through! Would recommend:)

A lovely cottage comfortable and well equipped.. a real home from home. The garden was lovely too. Situated in a beautiful area with lots of lovely walks nearby. Would recommend a stay at Llys Awel to everyone.

The cottage was well equipped and we had a lovely stay. The beds were so comfortable (so much that we looked where the mattress was from so we can get one!) The enclosed garden was a credit. Near forest and beaches. Would recommend.

Really great stay at Llys Awel. It is clearly a well-loved, home-from-home property. Very well equipped, we wanted for nothing whilst we were there and found it a really comfortable, cosy and relaxing place to be. To be able to look in the evening at the mountains we had climbed that day was a proper treat. The garden is gorgeous & our kids loved it. Location was perfect – we cycled from the door to Newborough Forest & the beach beyond, and also the Lon las Cefni. Wildlife from the door is the best we’ve seen for a while. Overall a 5 star stay, thankyou!

Excellent cottage. Many thoughtful touches from wine to bird books. We cooked in most of the time and the kitchen was superb. Beautiful garden.

A lovely clean, warm spacious and cozy cottage, beautifully appointed and extremely well equipped. Fully modernized but done sympathetically with many of the original features retained. Fantastic view from the master bedroom window of Snowdonia in all its majesty. Ideally placed on the Anglesey Coastal Path with wonderful walks in both directions. Good sized TV and a wonderful wood burner in the lounge. We would like to return at some future date.

We had a great time. Staying in the lovely cottage for the weekend. The children enjoyed exploring when we first arrived. Location was very easy to find and good parking. The property is welcoming and some lovely touches like the wine and the treats. We have enjoyed a weekend of a little adventures; crabbing, forest walks and beaches plus some nice food out. The dog has had a great time too! The weather has been kind and we would love to come back in the summer to fully enjoy the outdoor space. Thank you for having us.

We had a lovely short break here. The cottage is warm, cozy and very well equipped to a high standard Malltraeth is pleasant and quiet and suited us very well. We walked to the transport museum one day, visited South Stack RSPB to see the choughs, had an interesting potter around Amlwch to see the remains of the copper industry) had a lovely drive to Beaumaris & Penmon & Red Wharf bay. The shop/chippy in the village is welcoming as fish & chips were good. Delightful stay and will return for a peaceful holiday.
