Dock Cottage, the old stone cottage, which is adjacent to other buildings, faces towards the harbour where boats are moored in the summer. The back of the cottage overlooks a tidal bay and at very high tides the water laps the cottage. The views are unusual and quite spectacular and it is a birdwatcher’s paradise!
Heated by oil fired central heating there is also, in the sitting room, a coal effect oil heated stove which gives a comforting background glow. The dining table is in the sitting room, though it is possible, if desired, for one or two people to eat in the kitchen at the serving table. visitors are welcome to play the piano, which is for serious use and it must be treated with special care.
The up-to-date kitchen has views to the south over to distant hills. As well as the usual facilities, (though no dish-washer), there is a serving table and the crockery is displayed on a pine dresser.
Next to the kitchen is a utility room which houses the boiler, washing machine, freezer and vacuum cleaner.
The cottage has three bedrooms sleeping six in all. There are two twin-bedded rooms, one at the front and one at the rear of the house. One is accessed from the sitting room and the other from the end of the entrance hall and is next to the bathroom. The third is a double-bedded room facing south with access from the sitting room.
The newly appointed bathroom has the usual facilities with a shower over the bath. Next door to the bathroom is a small cloakroom where there is a second toilet.
Full length built-in cupboards in the hall provide plenty of extra hanging and storing space.
The cottage has been recently re-furbished.

Very quaint and idyllic
´Very quaint and idyllic. If you are looking for a vacation completely isolated and peaceful this is the place for you. Long stone beaches & little harbour offer peaceful coastal walks a complete retreat from the bustle of everyday life. We have found Coastal Holidays a pleasant and efficient company to deal with. 12 May 2014´
