There are 22 Sites of Special Scientific Interest. The wildlife is wonderful with Grey Seals most of the year off the local headland. The birdlife includes the chough which is rare and protected species. Dolphins are regularly seen even from land or take a boat trip out of Pwllheli harbour.
Nefyn Golf course must have some of the most spectacular views in the UK.
Visit Nant Gwrtheyrn Welsh language centre or the castles at Criccieth, Caernarfon or Harlech. A special day out is the boat trip from Porth Meudwy to Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island)home to Choughs and Shearwaters. 5 minutes drive to Cwrw Llyn microbrewery for interesting beers.
