Rhosneigr lies on Anglesey’s western shore and is a popular resort due to its two broad sandy beaches making it an ideal centre for water sports. It is also home to Anglesey Golf Club as well as horse riding, tennis and bowling, as well as a good location for sea and freshwater fishing.

There are two ancient burial centres nearby; Ty Newydd and Barclodiad y Gawres and Llyn Maelog, a reed-fringed lake known for its bird life.

Funsport

Funsport is a Windsurfing and water sport shop, mainly dealing in windsurfing, kite surfing and surfing accessories, but we also provide our customers with surf-wear and water-sport accessories such as wake-boarding. During windy weekends, hordes of windsurfers and kitesurfers will come down to Rhosneigr from all over Great Britain. They enjoy extremely good conditions for every level of sailing in a friendly and radical atmosphere!

Anglesey Golf Club

Rhosneigr is also home to Anglesey Golf Club – the oldest Golf club on the island. It is described as “An interesting 18 holes links course (6330 yds, SSS 71), set amongst sand dunes and heathland in the popular resort of Rhosneigr, Anglesey, North Wales. It is renowned for its excellent greens and numerous streams. The whole course boasts an abundance of wildlife and is an important conservation area, why not try some birdwatching before teeing off and see how many different species of birds you can recognise. This golf course is used for North Wales county championship matches and because of its even nature, it is a fair test for golfers of all abilities.
