BeaumarisĀ is a captivating seaside town, with its mix of medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. A āmustā is to take a walk through the town, starting with a stroll along the seafront, taking in the pier and the views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia then continuing through the charming streets with their picturesque cottages, many painted in soft pastel colours.
Red Boat Ice Cream ParlourĀ is situated in the heart of Beaumaris and brings theĀ finest ice creams and sorbets to the beautiful resort town of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey.Ā This ice cream has to be the best in Wales (and Iāve sampled most of them!). Great selection of flavours, helpful friendly staff, and even outdoor seating. A real treat.
Beaumaris Castle.Ā A World Heritage Site, Beaumaris Castle has a perfect concentric design, is surrounded by a water moat, and has stunning views over the Menai straits and Snowdonia mountain range. AĀ great castle, albeit one that was never finished. The walls are very impressive and surrounded by a moat. It is worth taking the stairs up to the walls and walking around the views are outstanding.
Beaumaris Gaol and Courthouse.Ā Ā Recommend buying the joint ticket to see both. Both buildings are pretty much as they were hundreds of years ago. Great insight into law and order and how it worked and failed back then. Including Beaumarisās links to pirates.
Beaumaris PierĀ is located on the banks of the Menai Strait in the town of Beaumaris, Anglesey, North Wales. Beaumaris Pier is popular with anglers, holiday makers and children simply having good old fashioned fun catching crabs from the clear waters of the strait
Puffin Island Cruises –Ā Puffin Island is an uninhabited island off the eastern tip of Anglesey. It’s a bird sanctuary and nesting site for many species of breeding seabirds, there’s also a resident colony of Atlantic Grey Seals.Ā A 90 minute leisurely cruise takes in the wonderful scenery and landmarks.
Penmon Priory –Ā Remains of the priory dating from the thirteenth century, when the house became part of the Augustinian order. The origins of the site are traditionally associated with St Seiriol in the sixth century.
Penmon Lighthouse –Ā Trwyn Du LighthouseĀ is aĀ lighthouseĀ between Black Point nearĀ PenmonĀ and Ynys Seriol, orĀ Puffin Island, at the eastern extremity ofĀ Anglesey, marking the passage between the two islands.
Lleiniog Beach –Ā Lleiniog BeachĀ is mostly sand and shingle, and located about 2Ā½ miles north of Beaumaris.

Well laid out with all rooms of a central hall. Well equipped kitchen and useful utility room. Comfortable, large sitting/dining room with plenty of seating. There is an outside area with a table and it is was a real suntrap when we stayed in early September. It is in a lovely quiet, tucked-away area just a few minutes walk from the town.

Simdee Wen is the cleanest and most well-equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in. The bungalow is spacious and meets your every need. Maria the host is lovely, nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend this bungalow for a holiday. Canāt wait to stay next year!!

We had a most enjoyable stay at the bungalow. The location is superb and within easy walking distance of the town which has a great selection of eateries and watering holes. We found the Liverpool arms to be excellent and also the Indian restaurant in Church road. The facilities in the bungalow were spot on and it was extremely clean and homely. We were able to explore the island and found the beach at Newborough and the nature reserve with its herd of wild horses wonderful. We also visited the museum and geology shop at Stone Science which we found most interesting. Bangor and Snowdonia are within easy driving distance and we were able to visit the Mountains and partake in a bit of strenuous exercise a good excuse for crossing the Menai Straits on one of the 2 bridges always an enjoyable experience. So all in all an excellent holiday can highly recommend.

The accommodation was excellent, exceeded our expectations and was spotlessly clean and tidy. Our elderly parents with limited mobility had easy access to all of the property and the children enjoyed the games and DVDs which were available. The cottage was within very easy walking distance of the centre of Beaumaris. Would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful location.

Excellent property. Even my wife couldnāt find fault (and sheās very good at finding fault). Super clean and tidy, really spacious, great location. A couple of things which you canāt tell from the online description: itās spotless, thereās loads of space (certainly for a family of 5), there are 2 fridges and a sizeable freezer (some descriptions say āāfreezer compartmentā but itās bigger than that), great Wi-Fi, tv, dvd (so bring your favorites from home).

Amazing property, ideal location. Beaumaris is a wonderful place itself and makes it easy to travel around the whole island. Clean and fresh. Bedding and towels crisp. Clean throughout and thoughtful touches to make the stay enjoyable. It Will be somewhere we will be returning to in the near future.
