Felin Traeth Cottage is a spacious detached property located next to Rhosneigr railway station and within walking distance to the beach (Traeth Crigyll).

Located within close proximity to RAF Valley, you can watch the jets fly over the garden. Anglesey Golf Course is a short walk away (you can see it from the upstairs bedroom).

Rhosneigr has lovely beaches and is very popular for watersports. There are several restaurants in the area as well as pubs, shops, a village hall, and library.

The property has a large driveway providing plenty of off road parking, a large private enclosed garden with a hot tub (available for an additional charge), WIFI, four spacious bedrooms one of which is en-suite, a wet room, large family bathroom, dining room, snug, well equipped kitchen, lounge with multi fuel stove, dedicated work space, utility room and storage areas for coats and boots. We also provide an electric vehicle charger for guests to use (this is a pay to use service, you will need to download an app and register to use the charger. The app will store your payment method and charge you per Kwh used).

Property description
When you enter the property through the front entrance (please note there are steps to the front entrance but none to the rear entrance), you are welcomed by a large hallway.

Bathroom
Walking through, there is a large family bathroom to your right, consisting of a bath with an electric shower above, a toilet and a double basin vanity unit with plenty of storage

Dining Room
Straight ahead is the dining room with seating for eight people. There is a music centre available for your use so please feel free to bring your vinyl, CDā€™s or cassettes or connect to the rechargeable Bluetooth speaker. There is a gas fire in this room (please refer to instructions in the folder in the utility room) and an electric infrared wall panel heater.

Bedroom 1 – Double
Opposite the dining room is the staircase to the first floor double bedroom. The bedroom is a large bedroom with a double bed, fitted wardrobes, a dressing table, sofa and a modern ensuite bathroom with double shower. There is a Smart TV with inbuilt freesat and a Google Chromecast fitted if you would prefer to cast from apps on your phone, laptop etc.

Kitchen
Along the ground floor corridor is a large modern kitchen with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, an eye level double oven, an induction hob, microwave, filter coffee machine, kettle, and toaster. The kitchen has been equipped to allow you to cook meals if you desire.

Utility Room
Opposite the kitchen is the utility room with a washing machine and tumble drier, a Belfast sink with cold water supply, an iron and ironing board, a vacuum cleaner, brush, and mop. There are also picnic items and beach towels for guests to use (please bring washing detergent to wash the beach towels if you use them).

Lounge

Next to the kitchen is the cosy lounge, with stone wall detail. This room is part of the original stone cottage built circa 1850. There is an Aga multifuel stove fitted and, if your arrival date is between 1st October and 24th March, a starter pack of smokeless coal and kindling will be left for you.

There is a Smart TV with inbuilt freesat and a Google Chromecast fitted if you would prefer to cast from apps on your phone, laptop etc. In the TV cabinet is a Blu-ray player connected to the TV. In the lounge you will also find a rechargeable Bluetooth speaker available for you to use.

In the alcove (in the lounge) is a dedicated work space containing a desk, work chair, desk lamp and infrared wall panel heater.

Snug
Along the corridor in the opposite direction is the snug, there is a piano in here and an occasional chair with lamp, creating a relaxing reading area.

Wet Room
The snug leads through to the ground floor bedroom corridor (there is 1 step up to access this corridor).

On this corridor is a wet room with a thermostatic shower, toilet, sink and vanity unity with plenty of storage. The wet room is fitted with a safety floor

Bedroom 2
Next to the wet room is the largest twin bedroom with an open wardrobe, two bedside cabinets with a lamp on each and a full length mirror. There is a Smart TV with inbuilt freesat and a Google Chromecast fitted if you would prefer to cast from apps on your phone, laptop etc.

Bedroom 3
Next door is the smaller twin bedroom with a chest of drawers, lamp, wall mounted hanging rails and a full length mirror. There is a Smart TV with inbuilt freesat and a Google Chromecast fitted if you would prefer to cast from apps on your phone, laptop etc.

Bedroom 4
Along the corridor is a door to the rear garden and the kingsize bedroom. The bedroom has a modern four poster bed, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets and glazed double doors leading to the patio area. There is a Smart TV with inbuilt freesat and a Google Chromecast fitted if you would prefer to cast from apps on your phone, laptop etc.

All beds will be made up with white cotton bedding for guests to use and white towels are provided (1 bath sheet and hand towel per adult, 1 bath towel and hand towel per child. No bedding or towels are provided for infants).

Entertainment
There is a TV with freesat, a DVD player, a Google Chromecast and some DVDā€™s provided for your use along with a rechargeable Bluetooth speaker.
There are some toys for younger guests in this room, please feel free to use any and return them before you depart.

Outside
Opposite the lounge is the rear entrance to the property which takes you to the large enclosed gated rear garden. If your arrival date is between 1st April and 23rd September, a patio table with eight chairs, 2 sun loungers, a corner sofa and a Weber charcoal BBQ will be available for your use. The hot tub is also situated in this garden and is available for an additional charge.

Please note that the hot tub will be cleaned and refilled after every hot tub booking. Our maintenance company may visit during your stay to check the chemical levels in the hot tub so will need access to the garden and may ask you to stop using the hot tub whilst they carry out their checks.

In this garden is an outdoor hot and cold tap and a hosepipe available for guest use.

The garden furniture and BBQ are not cleaned as part of the changeover clean; we ask guests to clean these before and after use.

Located in the grounds of the property are several ponds, the disused mill, a natural state field, owners sheds and an unused static caravan. These are all located behind fences, chains or barriers and we ask guests not to go beyond the boundary that the fences, chains and barriers provide as these areas are not provided within the rental of Felin Traeth Cottage.

Rhosneigr beachesĀ ā€“Ā Winner of of theĀ Green Coast seaside award, Rhosneigr lies on Angleseyā€™s Western shore. With its two broad , sandy beaches,Ā Traeth CrigyllĀ andĀ Traeth Llydan, it is a popular centre for all watersports. Rhosneigr is superb for walking on the beach, with rocky outcrops and dramatic sand dunes.

Llyn Maelog LakeĀ ā€“Ā A small shallow lake and fringing reedbeds trapped behind the dunes of Tywyn Llyn common land at Rhosneigr. The lake supports good numbers of wintering coot and other wildfowl and some stay to breed in the reedbeds and islands.Ā  A public footpath circumnavigates the lake (except for the southernmost shore) and is linked to footpaths leading to Rhosneigr, and the area to the east around Llanfaelog.Ā  The Anglesey Coastal PathĀ is accessible from a footpath to the south side of the lake, via a link which leads through the Tywyn y Llyn sand dunes.

  • We had a lovely 9 night stay. House was plenty big enough for a family of 7. Large rooms and large well stocked kitchen. Plenty of board games provided to keep us busy. Loved the dining room which we ended up using more than the living room. Fantastic front space with parking for easily 4-5 cars. Would come here again.

  • Weā€™ve just returned from a wonderful weekend at Felin Traeth. We cannot recommend the property highly enough. The welcome gift bag with local Artisan foods was a really lovely touch. Bedrooms are really well appointed with lovely comfortable beds. I donā€™t think Iā€™ve stayed anywhere with such attention to detail, even down to spare dog leads if you need them! Will definitely stay here again in the future.

  • A large well presented and quirky layout house. We wanted for nothing. Even a TV in every bedroom if you had the energy to stay awake after gulping in that fresh clean air from some fabulous beaches, we walked for miles everyday. For decades we have rented holiday homes all over the UK and I feel I can say with some confidence that Felin Traeth is the cleanest, most well equipped home we have stopped in. Attention to detail in many ways and a superb welcome pack was much appreciated. Well done to all concerned.

  • Stayed for the weekend wish we had have gone for a week. House was fantastic, lots of room for the whole family, spotlessly clean, great big garden and the hot tub was superb. Lovely peaceful setting yet only 10/15 minutes walk to Rhosneigr centre and beach with nice chippy and pancake place. On arrival found there were loads of little extras that you wouldn’t expect (bottle of fizz) just to name one. The first night had a slight problem but was sorted within minutes thanks to Jessica replying to my text straight away, would recommend this cottage to any family and would definitely stay here again.
