Sleeping 8, the property is ideal for large family groups.
The well-equipped spacious kitchen is illuminated by three arched windows with views of the surrounding countryside. Recent refurbishment has created a large homely kitchen area with a granite worktop and Rayburn cooker adding to the cosy, welcoming feel as well as the inclusion of modern facilities that do not compromise the properties character, including an induction hob, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, freezer, American style fridge, and washing machine. A large dining table with eight dining chairs provides spacious seating for everyone to enjoy a very sociable atmosphere.

There is a fully tiled wet room with shower opposite the downstairs bathroom and adjacent to the kitchen, perfect to rinse out the sandy toes after the day spent at the Cable beach.
PLEASE NOTE: access to the first floor bedrooms is via steep stairs, which may present some difficulties in climbing, for some people. The double bedroom is accessed through the twin bedroom in the Crog Loft. These first floor rooms are recommended only for agile adults and older children under adult supervision, given the steepness of the access stairs.

Things to do / Places to Visit nearby
Church Bay beach – A characterful pebble beach on the island of Anglesey, in North Wales. The beach is named after the nearby Llanrhuddlad Church. Swimming, sailing, fishing and surfing are popular activities. Highly recommended seafood restaurant, The Lobster Pot – well worth a visit!
Llyn Alaw – Enjoy a stroll along this large Anglesey reservoir. It covers 770 acres and has a number of walking trails along the water. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a destination for over-wintering birds. There are also wildflowers, butterflies and bird hides where you can look out for the variety of birds that visit the lake.
Melin Llynnon Mill – Melin Llynnon, or Llynnon Mill, is a windmill located on the outskirts of the village of Llanddeusant on the island of Anglesey. It is the only surviving working windmill in Wales. Lovely homemade food in the cafe.

Lovely quaint cottage. Good for 4 people. If 8 are staying, the other 4 need to be agile to climb the ‘ships ladder’ steps up to the other 2 bedrooms. Fabulous views up there when you do! Condition score of 4 was only because the boiler ‘bangs’ a bit when it turns on which you get used to, but might be difficult for some dogs. Massive kitchen/diner and fantastic power shower in the additional wet room. No wifi for work & limited phone signal which is all a bonus. We did get 4G which was good for researching where to explore each day. Great place for dogs. Garden is so big it doesn’t really matter that there’s no gate. The coastal paths are secured with gates anyway. The little cove is very rocky, until the sea goes right out. Another bigger cove just over the hill and walks in both directions. We had a wonderful stay.
Location, location, location is everything….. !! Waking up right next to the beach at Cable Cottage is quiet and peaceful. A place with sooooo much history + character. sooooo comfortable + cosy. We cooked all our own meals + had lots of conversation around the large kitchen table and the sunsets were amazing…!! Loved every minute of our week here….. Thank you.
In over 30 years of staying on Anglesey, I’ve never stayed in a place as beautiful as Cable Cottage.
With four children, all of different ages, this cottage is perfect. One or two baby gates will be needed if you have a toddler but other than that the cottage was safe, secure, very homely and clean.
The outside space before the beach is perfect for children playing where you can see them if you have chores to do.
The best part, no WiFi. Complete family time for us. Not to everyone’s like, but if you need WiFi you can roam the island and pick it up somewhere.
The beach on the doorstep, whether it’s for swimming, paddling, exploring rock pools, crabbing, watching the sunset or just opening the window to listen to the waves, Crugmor has it in abundance. Perfect little spot and you’ll find you have no real need to venture elsewhere unless you fancy a short stroll over the tops to Church Bay.
Stock up on some wood, the fire is a real delight of an evening and really easy to clean out in the morning.
I highly recommend this property and all it has to offer. I will be rebooking every year.
