A wonderful location, great easy access cottage well equipped
Wonderful hosts. Cottage very well equipped. Easy access throughout making it suitable for anyone, but especially for those with limited mobility or a disability, including large well equipped wet room, electric bed and chair. Very peaceful setting, well situated for exploring the island and also easy access to mainland and Snowdonia
Well appointed accommodation in beautiful location;
Ideal location for a base from which to explore Anglesey & North Wales. I have mobility problems and the layout of the Coach House met all my needs. The owners, who live on site, were lovely, helpful people who contributed to making our stay a very memorable one
Amazing cottage with disabled facilities
Just returned from a beautiful, sunny week break at The Coach House Faner What a wonderful find – home from home. David & Fiona were the perfect hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. Always on hand if needed The disabled facilities were amazing from the ramps at the patio doors, raisers on the super king sized bed which was so comfy we slept in every morning, grab rails & shower seat in the wet room to the electric chair & bed & David even provided a walking frame to assist my husband around the ground floor cottage – not forgetting the home made cake from Fiona The garden is beautiful full of flowers & birds everywhere. Anglesey has lots to offer & a trip up Snowdon on the little train is a must & it’s fully wheelchair accessible. We were never stuck for where to go there is so much to see & do on Anglesey and lots of it is fully accessible . Can’t wait to return Linda & Geoff
Perfect “May Break away with Grandmother” who is wheelchair bound..
My husband and I were delighted to have found this beautiful fully disabled access accommodation. We were welcomed by david who had facilitated everything to my grandmothers needs including providing a bed that rises and a wheelchair ramp. We also required a travel cot and high chair for our infant son. We would return to the coach house faner cottage as the rooms were comfortable and the wet room was fully suitable for my 90 year old grandmother. The three bedrooms were more than spacious for either 4 adults 2 children and an infant or more than enough space for 3 adults and infant. We had an enjoyable 5 night stay here with a fully functional kitchen and utility room. Wonderful view of a lovely maintained garden and secure parking. David and fiona are lovely and there duck eggs were delicious we are looking forward to tasting the honey. Plenty of places to see surrounding Anglesey and close to other areas. We visited some castles and nice towns the Halon mon salt factory was interesting and the sea zoo. Over all very relaxing and home felt place to come stay for a nice holiday break. We will return again as our son was too young to feed the lambs..
Perfect for disabled and able bodied alike.
A really delightful cottage that has been designed for disabled and able bodied persons. Besides been a great place to stay to go out and explore North Wales. The facilities at Coach House Faner made the stay really enjoyable. We made full use of the adjustable bed and chair, the wet room was a godsend. We were made most welcome on our arrival and with the owners just next door nothing was too much trouble. Look forward to returning.
Fantastic ‘ Disabled Friendly’ Find
My search for a truly ‘disabled friendly’ holiday destination ended when finding the Coach House. Both the cottage and the Isle of Anglesey exceeded my expectations. On arrival it was obvious that the cottage had been built, furnished and equipped with exceptional attention to detail. ( In fact it is probably the most comprehensively equipped cottage we have ever stayed in) This was our first whole week holiday since my husband’s accident, so naturally I was apprehensive. From the start we felt comfortable, relaxed and happy. My husband used his walking frame, but could easily have used his wheelchair if needed. There is level access, space, wet room, rise and recliner chair, electric bed – making this a practical cottage for anyone with mobility difficulties. However it is attractive and the garden location is very pleasant. The owners were welcoming and thoughtful, and clearly care about the needs of both disabled and able-bodied holidaymakers. I feel privileged that we were able to stay in their perfect holiday home, and hope we may have another wonderful holiday there one day.
Mrs Sheila Albers
Our stay at Coach House Faner was very good and everything was provided at the cottage that we needed. The host was on hand if required but was not intrusive. It was an ideal family accommodation and conveniently placed for visiting locations on the island and also back on the mainland
A BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE, FIT FOR A KING AND QUEEN.
This beautiful cottage in Anglesey is truly fit for a King and Queen, it is situated in Brynsiencyn , a very peaceful area, and overlooks the Menai Straits.and the Menai Bridge. It is ideally suited for exploring many of the small towns and villages of Anglesey – many of which have open markets with stalls and ‘Gift Shops’ A short distance car drive in either direction will take you to a point of interest. Caernarfon Castle is the largest castle in the UK and takes up a considerable size area of the town and also adjoins the beautiful harbour which looks out over the bay. There are several restaurants at where to have a meal. My friend and I went to the ‘Anglesey Arms, a pub/restaurant ‘ down at the harbour which is a very popular place to visit. There is an ice cream shop in the market town square here one can experience the taste of different flavours of fresh locally home made delicious creamy ice cream – generous portions and reasonably priced…..Don’t miss the chance of trying it. !! COACH HOUSE FANER is a very attractive looking cottage from the outside, but wait until you go inside, because that is where all the beauty of it lies, which in my opinion is fit for royalty to stay at. The décor, furnishings and comforts at each room at COACH HOUSE FANER is of a very high standard and is immaculately clean throughout. It lacks no facilities for those who enjoy self catering – everything you need to prepare a meal of any kind is there. The cottage is very spacious within with plenty of room to relax. It is disabled friendly and wheelchair accessible from the moment you arrive. Not a step to climb. The wet house, shower room, the bedrooms, lounge and kitchen is all as described in the advert even down to the riser/recliner bed and likewise with the arm chair in the living room which affords any disabled person that extra comfort. The grounds/ gardens in which COACH HOUSE FANER is situated , is so beautiful to see in itself – so well designed in its planting of flowers, shrubs and trees, it is a pleasure to sit outside the cottage simply watch the so many different species of birds fly into the garden and perch on the branches of trees and peck at the berries. The garden would be tended to by David (proprietor) who would be very busy ensuring the plants and flowers were having their daily rations of water with watering can, It was an ideal time both as a pleasure and reassuring to see and meet up with Dave in the garden for a brief chat and discuss any queries we may have had, or asking advice on our plans for the day ; though they were always nearby at their own home in the grounds, and ready at hand to help out at any time. We found both David and his wife Fiona to be very sociable and helpful. We have travelled many different countries in Europe for more than 20 years. I have stayed at Guest Houses and several star rated hotels, and I can honestly say that the comforts we were afforded and experienced at COACH HOUSE FANER together with the welcoming stay, far exceeded those that we experienced elsewhere previously in the past 20 years. We will forgive the ‘heavens’ for opening up on us and showering us with rain, but other than that, we more than thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at COACH HOUSE FANER. Thanks David & Fiona – Hope to see you again soon.
I spent a week at the cottage with my daughter and disabled husband. The cottage was just amazing and very comfortable for all our needs. The electric bed and riser recliner chair was a definite plus. The wetroom was brilliant. David and Fiona were very helpful and kind. Lollie the dog and syrup the cat were wonderful. This is a beautiful location with plenty to see and do. We look forward to our return.
Perfect host, perfect cottage, perfect surroundings, perfect holiday!
So happy to have found Coach House Faner enabling easy wheelchair access and amenities that make life a lot easier for people with a disability. Wider doorways, electric bed and chair to aid mobility as well as the superb wet room with essential seating and handles to assist. This alone means I will be visiting again with my Mum. The cottage is beautifully appointed throughout, set in a really pretty garden, with paved area for eating alfresco and parking for the car. Everything Anglesey has to offer is in easy reach. We particularly loved Newborough beach with it’s easy carparking and a viewing area of the beach for people with limited mobility. There is also a parking permit at the cottage for use here. A huge thank you to our host David on hand to make our stay comfortable and memorable!
Coach House Faner Review
Outstanding disabled facilities! Fantastic for a wheelchair access throughout. Bed and chair are rise and recline and washroom is amazing for access and mobility. Children enjoyed feeding the animals. Hosts could not be more welcoming and helpful. Cannot recommend more!
A good base for visiting Anglesey and Gwynedd
We were made very welcome. The property was well appointed and we were even given a covered area to store our car roof box while we travelled around the area visiting places of interest. Plenty of space to hang up wet clothes (the weather wasn’t always very good) and a large wet room shower to get clean in. Plenty of seating for everyone inside and the bird feeder outside the window provided extra things to watch when it was too wet to go outside. I would love to go there again when the weather was better but there was plenty of places to visit on the wet days without having to stay outside.
I had never had a holiday in Wales before this and I will definitely be doing it again. It was lovely. We decided to stay at the Coach House, as my mother has limited abilities and is a wheelchair user. There are grab rails in the bathroom, which is a beautiful wet room, well equipped and roomy. There is a riser recliner in the main seating area and an absolute gem of a bed in the twin room which is adjustable and gives a lovely massage after a hard day. Bliss. The owners are two of the most friendly and helpful people who catered for my mothers needs perfectly and provided a walker to assist her around the cottage. I would definitely recommend this cottage for disabled visitors and able alike. There was 4 adults in our group and there was plenty of room to spare. There is plenty to do on the island but you will need a vehicle to visit nearby towns and villages.
Stayed with 2 teenagers and a 6 year old. Great base from which to explore Anglesey and North Wales, pretty much everything within a short drive, Excellent accommodation, exactly as described, with everything you will need. Bonus of a beautiful garden, spent some peaceful time watching the goldfinches, bullfinches, blue and coal tits and many other birds enjoying the bird feeders, also saw a returning woodpecker a number of times. For those who havent been to this neck of the woods, plenty of glorious sandy beaches, decent walking and hill climbs, historical sites, castles, you name it. Come and enjoy!
Lovely accomodation, lovely location in lovely area…perfect for the disabled
Wow what a lovely cottage and location this is ! We had a one week holiday there and it was ideal, especially due to its suitability for the disabled. The accommodation is excellent and set in a beautiful peaceful location. There were 6 of us – 4 adults and 2 children (16 and 4 years old) We stayed with my disabled mum and the facilities (wet room, electric bed and electric rise/fall chair) and ease of access were ideal for her, which really enhanced her stay and our holiday. A ramp was in place over the threshold and a disabled walker & commode were available if required. An ideal location for exploring Anglesey and the beautiful surrounding area. The hosts David and Fiona were lovely – very welcoming, friendly and helpful. A big thank you to them. We will definitely be returning there for another holiday !!
Wonderful holiday !!!
My family & I had a wonderful week at this cottage. David & Fiona were very welcoming when we arrived and they were very informative of local attractions and days out, which was just great. The cottage is fantastic and catered brilliantly for my mother in law who is blind and often requires the use of a wheelchair.

If you want a holiday that caters for the disabled then this is the one
I have just returned from this property with my wife who is blind and in a wheelchair. I found the property and the surrounds perfect for her. David Chadwick and Fiona could not be more helpful and obliging. The property is beautiful and we will go again soon.

Disabled friendly property and owners. Beautifully appointed and equipped.
I visited this attractive property with my husband, teenage son and elderly parents. I had done a little research to see if it was equipped with handrails etc thus keeping my parents as safe as possible. It exceeded our expectations! We were told a ramp could be fitted to help with access, a walker was available for use and even an electric bed. The wet room was just perfect too. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made very welcome. . There is more than ample room to manouver around the property using a walking aid. The whole cottage is very well equipped and tastefully decorated to a high standard. Just a 15 minute walk to the sea too We will definately be returning.

Lovely weeks stay
What a lovely cottage! It was ideal for me as it was all on one level with the added bonus of a wet room, the kitchen was well stocked with crockery, pans and glasses etc. It was in a lovely location which was handy for getting around. The owners were lovely, there if we them.
There was lots of books and games, and in the bunk bed room there was children’s books, there was even a baby bath!
We would definitely go again!
